1st Gulf Youth Games 2024
The United Arab Emirates will host the inaugural edition of the Gulf Youth Games in April 17-24, 2024 following a decision taken during the 97th Executive Board meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Olympic Committees which was held on Sunday, October 15, in Muscat, Oman.
Chess is included into the official program of the event.
Every Gulf country has the right to participate in the first Gulf Games Chess tournament for Youth “Rapid chess teams and the individual Rapid and blitz tournament for the age groups under 14 and 18 (males and females) as follows:
a. Rapid Team Chess Championship (3 male/female players). Under 14 and under 18 years
B. Rapid singles Chess tournament (3 male/female players). Under 14 and under 18 years
C. Individual Chess tournament (3 male/female players). Under 14 and under 18 years
Participation is open to all mentioned categories of male and female players from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries: Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the UAE.
