CHESS ON THE WAY TO OLYMPICS

The president of FADA and member of the FIDE Chess in Multi-sport Games Committee, Mario Petrucci, had a meeting with the President of the International Olympic Committee, Thomas Bach, in the framework of the Santiago Pan-American Games 2023, where he discussed a possible chess inclusion in the Olympic Games.

Chess was presented in the ESPORTS category with the open and women’s finals taking place online on chess.com from October 26-27, 2023.
